Get English - What is halloween…?

Halloween is a holiday celebrated on October 31 that has origins in the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain(고대 켈트족 축제 '삼하인') and the Christian observance of All Saints' Eve(모든 죽은 성인둘을 기리는 기독교 만성절 전야.).

It is now a secula celebration in many parts of the world, characterized by activities like trick-or-treating, costume parties, and carving pumpkins into jack-o'-lanterns.

Halloween is so popular in America due to its evolution from immigrant traditions, the rise of community and commercial events, and its cultural role as a "sanitized" way to engage with the spooky and the fall season. Irish and Scottish immigrants brought their customs.

Hallow is a holy person or a saint. So All Hallows day, November 1st, honors all the dead saints. And All Hallows Eve, which is Halloween, is believed to be the day when the dead roams among those who are alive. Halloween is actually popularly believed to have a pagan origin.

In Buckhurst, Canada, people over the age of 16 are not allowed to dress up in costumes on Halloween.

And there is a curfew that makes them stay home after 8pm. Meaning if you wear a mask and stand around a corner, the police officer can make you pay a few hundred bucks.

In Alabama, you are prohibited from dressing up as a clergy, be that a priest or a rabbi.
