모든 종교가 다 비슷하지만... 특히 모든 유일신 종교는 극단주의적이며, 반지성적이며, 반과학적이며, 자만과 특권주의의 총체라고 해도 무관하다.

따라서 기독교 및 이슬람교는 정도의 차이가 있을 뿐... 극단주의적이며, 반지성적이며, 반과학적이며, 자만과 특권주의적이라는 본질적 속성은 같다. 물론 '정도의 차이'는 있다. 누구나 알고 있는 것처럼 기독교 보다 이슬람교가 더 극단적, 급진적이다.

그런 이유로... 기독교도 (이슬람과 유사하게) 비기독교 국가/사회/지역들에서 (오랜 시간에 걸쳐) 수많은 문제를 야기했고, 현재도 꾸준히 야기하고 있다. 이슬람교는 더 급진적이고 극단적인 이유로 소위 '문제'들이 짧은 시간에, 좀 더 뚜렷하게, 좀 더 확연하게 나타나고 있을 뿐이다.

유일신 종교는 기본적으로 다른 어떤 '믿음'을 존중하지 않는다. 아니, 다른 믿음을 존중할 수가 없다. 왜냐하면 오직 '유일신'만이 전지전능한 길이고, 진리이며, 생명이기 때문이다. 유일신 외, 그 어떤 것도 추종하지 않으며, 존중하지 않는다. 그런 이유로 기독교와 이슬람교는 서로, 혹은 기타 다른 문화와 영원히 끝없이 충돌할 수밖에 없다.

For that reason, Christianity has also caused countless problems in non‑Christian countries, societies, and regions over long periods of time, and continues to do so today. Islam, being more radical and extreme, produces these “problems” in shorter spans, more visibly, and more starkly.
